  1. Ah-ha! So this is a taste of the Pre-Chaos I’ve been hearing about. Very cool. Amparo seems very interesting to me. I’d like to know more about her motivations, as well as her gargoyle (I totally laughed at his name – perfect!) Also this line: “a pretty carnivorous flower that ate every one of the family’s kittens”. That my dear is full of win!

  2. I had already copied the carnivorous flower line, to enthuse and gush about it, ;_) but Rommy beat me to it, with a lot more dignity. :P. Reading this separate from its whole, I still found it full of plenty of context, and the characterization of the various…entities…was superb. I am not much of a prose reader online, either–my attention span is usually barely long enough to suck in a poem— but this captured and held my interest completely. Excellent stuff.

    • I’m glad you both appreciated the carnivorous bit. I’m quite proud of it *giggles*.

By the way, your comment and the fact that this (way-too-long) piece has received so few comments, made me think of length and online storytelling. I will write a post on it, but when I do, know that your words sprouted it.

So glad it held your interest!

  3. I have so enjoyed following this serial…can’t wait to see how you progress from here. You are a fantasically witchy writer 😀 XXX

  4. You’re really enjoying yourself, aren’t you? This story has so much movement. It feels different to your other work. Not better. Not worse. I like all your stories, after all. But like a different dish on the table. I’m going to go back to the beginning and read it in one go tomorrow, but I just wanted to say how great this was, Lady Magaly.
