Legendary Beings in Love – Dark Poetry for the Cruellest Month, 2016 (Day 9)

Have you ever wondered how El Chupacabra, Medusa, the Loch Ness Monster, the Bride of Chucky… might woo prospective mates? Well, I have. Seriously, my Luvs, we have delighted in seeing the powerful love shared by Morticia and Gomez Addams. We know how they talk to each other. But what does Cousin Itt say to his wife when he’s feeling particularly loving? How do Chucky and his Bride resolve marital spats?

Today’s Prompt – Write a poem that explores the love life of our favorite monstrously misunderstood creatures. Think courtship, marriage, separations…

Link Instructions – Leave the direct link to your poem as a comment in the following format: “Secondary Character Schizophrenia” – http://magalyguerrero.com/secondary-character-schizophrenia/

Please, take the time to visit other Dark Poetry for the Cruellest Month participants.
Let them know what you appreciate about their poesy.
I suspect they’ll delight in your courtesies just as much as you delight in theirs.

  1. ” Most Ravenous of Love”

I have to say I edited this one (a lot) and it is one of my favorites so far. This Challenge is bringing out in me something buried deep inside. I love to write and never, ever thought of poetry at all. I think if I could blend my art and my poetry it could be good. Either way, this Challenge is helping me heal some hits I have taken recently and free my soul so I can soar. Thank you Magaly. You are forever in my heart!

    • Few things help the soul breathe as well as artistic expression does. I think this kind of thing helps us let out the pains we know of and the ones we didn’t even know were pinching our hearts. I’m so glad you are finding this event soothing, it’s how I feel about it too!

You, too, are in my heart and thoughts, sweet Robin. ♥
