Melancholy Spreads

skeletal branches,
sky shrouded in gloom dyed grey:
winter blues in spring

the clouds are too dark,
cocooned inside cold blankets…
she can’t see the light

a waterlogged heart
sobs under tomb of pillows:
melancholy spreads
