Over Naked Limbs and Snow

There I was, sipping a hot cup of star anise tea, when 3 haiku showed up demanding to start my 2018 blog year. I was outraged! But I don’t argue with tiny things that can pack a punch. So… say hello to my little haiku.

sunlight paints gold strokes
over naked limbs and snow,
while I sip summer

summer is a star
brewing in a pot that warms
bones chilled by winter

winter can’t kill blooms
fed by memories of fall
dreaming wild spring dreams

  1. I liked your three haiku set, they go together well. It’s been a while since I’ve done that, I’ll snoop around here, perhaps I’ll find my set lurking in the cold. Brrr

  2. Such a gorgeous trio of haiku, Magaly!❤️ I love the idea of winter unable to eliminate blooms which are ‘fed by memories of fall’.. that really warms my heart! Wishing you love and peace in 2018!❤️

  3. Damned haiku’s – I can imagine your outrage!
That said, said haiku’s are infused with total yummyness and a great way to start this year.
Star anise tea is new to me so have googled. That you regard sipping same is sipping summer, I shall try.

  4. Truly magical. This is what haiku is all about….spur of the moment thoughts of truth and reality. An entire story in just a few words. Love how you spark my imagination.
