She Wants

Before our eyes and hearts and feels… get into what “She Wants”, I wish to inform everyone that I have updated my cyber-home’s Privacy Policy, to be compliant with the GDPR. After delighting in what “She Wants” (yes… I, too, have noticed that I truly enjoy typing the words “She Wants” *cough*), follow this link if you wish to read the Privacy Policy in all its slightly tiresome glory.

“She Wants”

She loves him best
while asleep.

In love, obsession
grows out of want
improperly sated.

She wants
filled by lust
out of him
into her.

Her nights are made
of his lips on her hip.

In dreams,
he feels her

She knows dreams best
but prefers him
awake… in her dreams.

in her description of this painting, Shelle said, “fairies are born of belief, and die through neglect…” I’m sharing the piece because (well, I adore Shelle’s work and) believe her words are also true when it comes to dreams

  1. It’s so good to see all these fragments together. Also, I’m intrigued by the cyclical nature of this tale of dreams and ink and lust, vigorous in the summer and fading in the winter.

  2. She wants, doesn’t she! It must be spring effect. 😀
Lovely and sensual piece of writing. And as always Shelle’s art has a language of its own. Wonderful pairing of your words and artwork!

p.s. I’m impressed you done your privacy page already, very efficient. I need to get on with mine too, I feel harassed by the constant reminders popping up often. 🙂

    • I think spring has been dreaming of summer, or something. Winter just lasted sooo long. 😀

About the privacy page, I figured that biting the bullet quickly was better than staying haunted by haunted by popups about updating, lol!

  3. Those we sleep with appear to be speaking to both our respective muses, Magaly. Here you allow me to revisit a (much loved) time when everything was newer, younger, and more alive. The second stanza is gobsmackingly ture, isn’t it? And want sated gives that glow of warmth that is what makes lust so rewarding. ;_) Thanks so much for giving us this 55, to remind us of and perhaps even to remake our dreams.

  4. You speak so much truth through your pen. Your writing isnt just pretty or sweet or any of that nicey stuff. Its truth. Love it!

And of course Shellie’s art is special, always!

  5. A beautiful tapestry you made in this patchwork quilt. Because love/lust (feelings) are from a place you can’t see…it makes sense that it is perfected in dreams. Loving it!

  6. Do we all have to write a policy page? I’m getting confused with all these e-mails! We even half to write one for Etsy.
“About She Wants”, I have a hot flash now! LOL!
    Big Hugs 🙂

  7. In dreams,
    he feels her

I adore the way you put these 6 words together.. the whole is a wonderful evocation of sensuality.

  8. Gosh this poem is incredibly sensuous and has such lush imagery, Magaly!💖 Love and obsession are two sides of the same coin. I feel if needs aren’t properly tended to then one can become aggressive in every sense of the word.

  9. In dreams, you can see yourself and your passions the way you truly feel them. Beautiful poem, and artwork.

  10. Thank you for your belief Magaly… I feel my neglect because of life’s excuses caused fairies and art to die… seeing this ‘belief’ here, my art, again breathing through your words (thank you) is the seed I shall water… you really are precious ❤️
