The Negativity Runs in Circles prompt resulted in many jewels. Some were funny, some were feisty, some spread into realms of melancholy… Some titles (my entry, for instance) were very absolute in their opinions about negativity.
For day 21 of NaPoWriMo with Magaly Guerrero 2015, Write a poem that challenges the veracity of at least three negative thoughts.
If you contributed to Negativity Runs in Circles, perhaps you could take a bit from your poem (or all of it), and figure out if any of the statements it offers is just too negative to be true. Or you could just challenge any negative thought. Example: we often say, “Life sucks.” And it’s true, life can be troublesome… but this isn’t true 24/7. There has to be at least one tiny moment, when life sucketh not at all. Take that moment, shove it down negativity’s throat, and prove that certain negative thoughts are just untrue.
* Leave a link to your poem, as a comment. Include the title of your entry, and the direct link to your post. Example: “NaPoWriMo with Magaly Guerrero 2015”: https://magalyguerrero.com/napowrimo-with-magaly-guerrero-2015/. Visit other Wicked Darlings and comment on their yum. They might visit you (it’s polite).
* If you use this prompt, please link it to your post. And if you are feeling extra delicious, link your poem to the main entry. Show others where to go. Spread the word. Linking back to the source will make negativity run for cover… while screaming in fright.
